You can send emails from any email address using the Other SMTP mailer<\/strong>, which employs the industry-standard SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol). Consequently, it requires less setup time than the majority of other mailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing and Activating the Post SMTP Plugin: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before getting started, you\u2019ll need to install the Post SMTP plugin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us cover all the steps to set up Other SMTP with Post SMTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the Post SMTP dashboard<\/strong> and click on Start the wizard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mailer: –<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A window will pop up containing different Mailers services<\/strong>. Select Other<\/strong> SMTP <\/strong>from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the From Address,<\/strong> there are two required fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a.     From Email (You must use the same email address you used to log in to your Google <\/strong>account.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b.     From Name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cPrevent plugins and themes for changing this\u201d toggle button will be under the From Email and Name fields. Check both of them enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"SMTP<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

When you scroll down, you will see the different fields under the title of SMTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host Name: –<\/strong>The outgoing server will be listed as your SMTP host in your email provider’s settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port: – <\/strong>The SMTP port is the one that your provider employs for SMTP connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Switches on or off authentication. Most providers insist on having it turned on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

User Name: – <\/strong>SMTP user name is your email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Password: – <\/strong>To use it as your SMTP password, create a password for the account’s app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill in the required field and then click Save and Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generating an App Password: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create an app password, your Google Account must have 2-step Verification<\/strong> enabled. If 2-step Verification<\/strong> is enabled and you encounter a \u00abPassword incorrect\u00bb<\/strong> error when logging in, try using an app password. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Log in with your Google Account.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select Security.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select 2-Step Verification<\/strong> from the drop-down menu next to \u00abSigning in to Google.\u00bb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give the app a name to help you remember it when needed. Click Create<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

App Password <\/strong>will be generated in the pop-up window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy this App Password <\/strong>and then return to that window or tab where the Post SMTP <\/strong>setup wizard is open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now paste the App Password <\/strong>in its relevant field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click Save & Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sending a Test Email: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A screen will appear with the field Recipient Email Address<\/strong>. This step will allow you to send an email address for testing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the Recipient Email Address <\/strong>and click Send Test Email<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on the Finish <\/strong>button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
