Mailgun<\/a><\/strong> is a widely recognized and reliable solution for optimizing email delivery. Employing a secure API, Mailgun ensures the safe and efficient transmission of your emails. What’s more, Mailgun offers a generous 3-month free trial period to kickstart your email endeavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting up the Mailgun account: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To get started, you’ll need a Mailgun account. If you don’t have an account, sign up<\/strong> for a new Mailgun <\/strong>account, and  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have an existing account, fill in the Email <\/strong>and Password <\/strong>field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on <\/a>Log in<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After clicking login<\/strong>, you will be on the Mailgun Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing and Activating the Post SMTP Plugin: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before getting started, you\u2019ll need to <\/a>install the Post SMTP plugin<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s cover the steps to set up <\/a>Mailgun<\/a><\/strong> with Post SMTP.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to the Post SMTP dashboard<\/strong> and click on Start the wizard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mailer: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

 A window will pop up containing different Mailers services<\/strong>; select Mailgun <\/strong>from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"SMTP<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

 For the From Address,<\/strong> there are two required fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a.     From Email (You must use the same email address you used to log in to your Mailgun <\/strong>account.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b.     From Name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cPrevent plugins and themes for changing this\u201d toggle button will be under the From Email and Name fields. Check both of them enabled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, you have to enter the API Key<\/strong>. Click on API Key to<\/strong> be redirected to the Mailgun API Key <\/strong>screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Generating an API Key: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Your Mailgun API key<\/strong> might have even been automatically emailed to you. If not, you must return to the tab or window where you typed in your <\/a>Mailgun domain details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tiny circle with your initials in the top-right corner of your <\/a>Mailgun account must be clicked. Select API Security<\/strong> next. T<\/p>\n\n\n\n

his will take you to a page where your Mailgun API keys<\/strong> are listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Dashboard<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

To generate your API key<\/strong>, scroll to the Mailgun API keys<\/strong> section and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

click the Create API key<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A modal window will open where you can specify a description for your API key<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We suggest adding a report to help you remember what you’re using the API key<\/strong> for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you’re ready to proceed, press the Create API key<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 A new window will then open and show your unique API key<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key is only displayed once, so make a copy and store it somewhere accessible and secure. You can make a copy of the key by clicking the copy icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Return to the Post SMTP<\/strong> settings after copying the entire key, and paste the text into the Mailgun API<\/strong> Key field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting the Domain: –<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You will see the Domain Name<\/strong> under the API Key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go back to the window where <\/a>Mailgun is open. You will see Sending<\/strong> on the left side of the screen. Click on Sending,<\/strong> and a drop-down menu will appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By default, you will be redirected to the Domains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copy the Domain name<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After copying the key, return to the Post SMTP settings and paste the text into the Mailgun Domain Name<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have Mailgun Europe Region,<\/strong> click on the checkbox. Then click Save and Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A screen will appear with the field Recipient Email Address<\/strong>. This step will allow you to send an email address for testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enter the Recipient email address <\/strong>and click Send Test Email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Click on the Finish <\/strong>button<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can view the log section by clicking the \u201cView logs section\u201d<\/strong> buttons or skip to the dashboard by clicking Skip to dashboard.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
