No matter which SMTP service I use (tired Office 365 SMTP and SendGrid API) the error always comes back as invalid \’To\’ address, and it appears the plugin is retrieving a user\’s username rather than their email.
Specifically, I\’m testing the built-in WP password reset function. The funciton itself definitely returns the user email. But when your plugin sends the emails it tries to send with the username and so of course fails to validate it and sends an error.
I\’m going over the code in the site I\’ve taken over, but I\’m curious why everything goes to plan up to the built-in WP password reset function and then fails once passed to Post SMTP plugin. As I say, logs show it is trying to send to the user\’s username, not email.
