Emailit is a reliable email delivery platform that enables websites and applications to send transactional emails efficiently. By integrating Emailit with the Post SMTP plugin, you can send authenticated emails without managing complex infrastructure.

Let’s walk through how to integrate Emailit with the Post SMTP plugin to send emails from your WordPress site.

Ensure that the Post SMTP plugin is installed and activated on your WordPress site. If not, download it from the WordPress Plugin Directory.

Setting up Your Emailit Account

To get started, you’ll need to create an Emailit account. If you already have an account, log in at Emailit Login. If not, sign up and complete the activation steps.

Once logged in:

1. From the left-hand menu, click on Credentials.

2. Click on the Add credentials button.

3. Fill in the following:

  • Name: Choose a name to identify this token.
  • Type: Select the type API from the downward dropdown arrow.

4. Click Create and generate API key. Then copy the API key for later use.

Verifying Your Domain

Emailit requires domain verification to ensure successful email delivery.

1. In the dashboard, go to Sending domains from the left menu.

2.  Click Add sending domain.

3.  Enter your domain name and click Create.

4.  Click on the added domain (test.com).

5.  By clicking, you will see DNS records. Add these records to your domain’s DNS settings.

6.  Once completed, return to Emailit and click Check DNS to verify your domain.

7.  Once you will click on Check DNS, you will be taken to below mentioned screen.

Connect Emailit with Post SMTP

Once your domain is verified and your API key is ready, you can proceed with the Post SMTP Setup Wizard:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard, open Post SMTP.
  2. Start the setup wizard and choose Emailit as your mailer.
  3. Click Continue to proceed to the configuration screen.

In This Step:

  • Enter your From Email Address and Name.
  • Ensure your From Email matches the Admin Email Address and the domain you verified in Emailit.
  • Enable the toggle to lock the From Email and Name to prevent changes from plugins and themes.
  • Paste the Emailit API Key you copied earlier into the API Key field.
  • Click Save and Continue to proceed.

Sending a Test Email

You’ll now see a screen prompting you to send a test email:

  • Enter the Recipient Email Address where you want to send the test.
  • Click Send Test Email to verify the configuration.

If the email is sent successfully, click Finish to complete the setup.

Checking Logs and Exploring More

  • To review sent emails, click View Logs Section.
  • If you want to skip log viewing, click Skip to the Dashboard to go to the main interface.
  • There’s more to explore – check the dashboard for additional features and settings to optimize your email delivery.

With Emailit integrated through Post SMTP, your WordPress site is equipped to send authenticated, reliable emails without deliverability issues. Following the steps above ensures that your domain is verified, your API key is securely configured, and your email settings are locked down for consistency.
