Postmark configuration with Post SMTP :

Postmark is one of the most reliable, fast & powerful SMTP service providers for your email needs. Account Creation on Postmark :

We will guide you through the process to Start Free Trial and to upgrade on the way.

Go to Postmarkapp.com, if you don’t have an account click on Start free trial on top right corner.

Enter your Full Name, Work Email, Username, Password & accept Terms of Service. Click on
“Let’s get started”.

Note: Use an email of a Private domain to create an account on Postmark.

Once you have signed up, you’ll be redirected to this screen. Make sure to check your mailbox for the Confirmation Mail from Postmark and Confirm Sender Signature.

Congratulations! Your free account has been created.

Now click on Request approval on the top right corner and fill out the requested details. The review process will take around 24 hours to get approved. 

If you want to upgrade your plan simply navigate to Users> Billing Details> Plans & Add-ons.
Enter your billing details and hit the Save card details button. Choose your preferred plan and add-ons and click on Proceed to check out.

Once your selected plan is active you will need to configure Postmark with Post SMTP.

Note: the process of configuration is the same for Free trial and paid plan.

Login to Postmark profile, click on Create Server. Fill in the Name, choose color label, select Server type and click on Create Server button.

Once completed you will be redirected to your brand new server’s page. From here navigate to API Tokens. Copy the Server API tokens and paste them somewhere for later use in Post SMTP set up WIzard.

Configuration Process:

We are done with Postmark account creation & upgrading. Now head over to your WordPress admin site.

  • Go to the Post SMTP Dashboard and click on Start the Wizard.

  • Choose Postmark from the SMTP Mailer and click on the Continue button.

In the Mailer Settings, enter From Email (it should be the same email address you used to log in to your Postmark account) & From Name.

Turn on “Prevent plugins and themes from changing this” to stop other plugins or themes from overriding this field.

  • Now paste the Server API Tokens copied from Postmark server in the API Key field and Click on Save & Continue button.

  • Enter Recipient Email Address and click on Send Test Email.

  • Your email is successfully delivered, click on Finish button to end the wizard.

You have successfully configured Post SMTP with Postmark. You can view the details of the sent email by navigating to the Email Log.
