Sweego Mailer is a dependable email delivery service that allows websites and applications to send transactional emails efficiently via SMTP. By integrating Sweego with the Post SMTP plugin, you can send authenticated and secure emails from your WordPress site without the hassle of managing complex server configurations.

This guide walks you through connecting Sweego Mailer with the Post SMTP plugin in a few simple steps.

Before you begin, ensure the Post SMTP plugin is installed and activated on your WordPress site. If not, download it from the WordPress Plugin Directory.

Setting Up Your Sweego Mailer Account

To begin using Sweego Mailer, you must have an active account.

If you already have one, log in to your Sweego dashboard. If not, sign up and complete the necessary onboarding steps.

Step 1: Verify Your Domain

Before sending emails through Sweego, domain verification is required.

1 . In the Sweego Dashboard, navigate to Domains from the left menu.

2. Click Add New Domain.

3. Enter the domain (or subdomain) you want to register.

4. Click Add New Domain to begin the verification process.

5. Sweego will now generate DNS records for your domain.
Add these DNS records to your domain’s DNS manager (e.g., Cloudflare, cPanel, Namecheap).

6. Once done, return to Sweego and click Verify domain to complete verification.

7. After your domain has been successfully verified, continue to generate your SMTP credentials.

Step 2: Generate SMTP Credentials

After your domain has been successfully verified in Sweego, you can proceed to generate the SMTP credentials required for integration.

Once verification is complete, you will see a banner prompting you to continue. Click Continue to proceed to the Credentials page.

On this screen:

1 . Click Create API Key.

2. A modal will appear from the left side of the screen.

3. Select your verified domain from the dropdown list.

4. Click Create API Key to generate your new credentials.

Sweego will now display your API Key along with the Key ID. Copy the API Key immediately and store it in a secure location.

Note: For security reasons, Sweego will not display the API Key again. Ensure you save it safely before closing the modal.

Step 3: Connect Sweego with Post SMTP

After generating your Sweego SMTP credentials, follow the steps below to configure Post SMTP:

1 . In your WordPress dashboard, open Post SMTP.

2. Launch the Setup Wizard and choose Sweego as your mailer.

3. Click Continue to access the SMTP configuration screen.

4. Enter the required details:

  • From Email Address
    • Use the same email address associated with the verified domain in Sweego.
  • From Name
    • Enter the sender name you want recipients to see.

Note: Enable the toggle to lock From Email and From Name to prevent theme or plugin conflicts.

5. Click Save and Continue to complete the configuration.

Sending a Test Email

You will now be prompted to send a test email:

1 . Enter the Recipient Email Address where the test message should be sent.

2. Click Send Test Email to verify your SMTP configuration.

If the email sends successfully, click Finish to complete the integration.

Checking Logs and Additional Tools

To review your sent emails:

  • Go to the View Logs section.

If you wish to skip checking logs:

  • Click Skip to the Dashboard to return to the main Post SMTP interface.

You can explore more options in the Post SMTP dashboard, such as error tracking, delivery logs, diagnostic tools, and fallback mailers.

With Sweego Mailer integrated through Post SMTP, your WordPress site is now fully prepared to send authenticated, secure, and highly reliable emails without deliverability concerns. By following the steps above, you’ve successfully verified your sending domain, created SMTP credentials, configured Post SMTP, and validated everything with a test email.
