Mandrill with Post SMTP 

Mandrill Mailer delivers dependable email services and extends a generous free plan to its users. Operating through a secure API, Mandrill Mailer provides the convenience of initiating the setup process without the requirement of credit card details unless you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.

Mandrill has become popular for businesses and organizations looking for efficient and scalable email delivery solutions.

Setting up the Mandrill Account: –

To get started, you’ll need a Mandrill account. If you have an existing account, fill in the Username or Email and Password field. Click on Log in.

If you are using Mandrill for the first time, sign up by clicking Create an account.

Enter your Business Email, Username, and Password in the required fields. If you don’t want to receive emails about Mailchimp, click on the checkbox.

Click on Sign up to proceed.

You will receive an email on the email address you provided to sign up for Mandrill.

Open your email account inbox in the second tab or window.

You will see an Activate Account button in the email. Click on that button to activate your account. You will be redirected to the Mailchimp window.

You will now see the fields with names (First name, Last name, Business name, Phone number). Fill in those fields and click Next.

It will now ask for your business address. Fill in the fields and click Next.

Now, it will ask about Your top goal with Mailchimp. Select as per your choice and click Next. (You can skip this by clicking the skip button.)

It will now ask for essential features for your business. Select as per your choice and click Next (You can skip this by clicking the skip button).

Select your contact range for your email. (You can skip this by clicking on the skip button.)

You can select the option for How do you sell to your customers? Click Next (You have a choice to choose that We’re not currently selling)

Write your Website URL in the field and click Next (You can skip this by clicking the skip button).

Choosing a Plan: –

There are four types of plans available for the user with different options. Select the method according to your needs.

After selecting the plan, a pop-up window with the title preparing your account will appear.

Installing and Activating the Post SMTP Plugin: –

Before getting started, you’ll need to install the Post SMTP plugin.

Let’s cover the steps to set up Mandrill with Post SMTP.

Go to the Post SMTP dashboard and click on Start the wizard.

Mailer: –

A window will pop up containing different Mailers services. Select Mandrill from here.

For the From Address, there are two required fields.

a.     From Email (You must use the same email address you used to log in to your Mandrill account.)

b.     From Name.

The “Prevent plugins and themes for changing this” toggle button will be under the From Email and Name fields. Check both of them enabled.

Now, you have to enter the API Key. Click on API Key to redirect to the Mandrill API Key screen.

Generating an API Key: –

You will be redirected to the settings of Mandrill. Click on our API to create an API Key.

A pop-up window will appear with a button named +Add API Key.

After that, the API key will be automatically generated. Copy that.

Return to the Post SMTP settings after copying the entire key, and paste the text into the Mandrill API Key field. Click Save and Continue.

Sending a Test Email: –

A screen will appear with the field Recipient Email Address. This step will allow you to send an email address for testing.

Enter the Recipient Email Address and click Send Test Email.

Click on the Finish button.

You can view the log section by clicking the “View logs section” buttons or skip to the dashboard by clicking Skip to dashboard.

That’s it! Now, you can configure Post SMTP with Mandrill mailer on your WordPress site.
