We’re pleased to announce that the Post SMTP plugin has been successfully acquired by WPExperts from Yehuda Hassine. The acquisition news was exclusively covered by WP Tavern and received an encouraging response from the WordPress community.

Post SMTP is a next-generation WP Mail SMTP plugin that assists in the delivery of email generated by the WordPress site. Post SMTP is the first and only plugin to support the latest security standards. With OAuth 2.0, there is no need to store email passwords in the WordPress database.

If for any reason one of your emails fails to send, Post SMTP will let you know by email, pushover, or slack. Besides the notifications, you can define a backup SMTP to send an email when there is a failure with the main one.

Post SMTP plugin has 300,000+ active users and so far it’s the biggest acquisition in terms of active users for WPExperts.

While elaborating the acquisition purpose, Post SMTP’s new owner, Mr. Saad Iqbal, appreciated Yehuda’s (Former owner/developer Post SMTP) efforts as a one-man army to develop and look after the plugin for so long and make it a successful tool for WordPress users.

He further added, he will keep continuing the FREE version of Post SMTP while enhancing the existing features, user interface (UI), and plugin support without launching any pro version in the near future.
