Post SMTP lets you easily track and report your email delivery performance. You can use the Email Reporting and Tracking feature to get detailed insights into your email activities, such as delivery status, email open rate, and more. You can also enable daily, weekly, or monthly email health reports to stay on top of your email performance and make informed decisions.

Download the Zip File of Email Reporting and Tracking Extension:

To download the Email Tracking and Reporting extension, you need to have purchased the Post SMTP pro bundle. 

If you have already purchased the Post SMTP pro bundle, you should have received an email with the product download link for all our pro extensions.

  • Open the email and find the Download the Product section
  • Click on the Email Tracking and Reporting zip file link. The zip file will start downloading to your computer.

Install and Activate Email Tracking and Reporting Extension:

After downloading the extension, you need to install and activate this extension on your WordPress site. Here’s how.

  • Log in to your WordPress site’s admin dashboard and go to Plugins > Add New in the left-hand menu. 
  • Click on the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page.
  • Click Choose File and select the Email Tracking and Reporting extension’s zip file you downloaded earlier.
  • Click on Install Now and wait for WordPress to install the extension.
  • Once the installation is done, click on Activate Plugin to activate the Email Tracking and Reporting extension on your WordPress site.
  • Congratulations! You have successfully installed and activated the Email Tracking and Reporting extension on your WordPress site. You can now access the email health reports and advanced email tracking features from the Post SMTP plugin’s settings.
  • Sync your current license with the New Pro license.

Enabling Email Tracking and Reporting Functionality:

Go to the Email Reporting tab within Post SMTP settings by following the steps.

  • Navigate to the Post SMTP Dashboard and Click the Show All Settings button.
  • Select the Email Reporting tab from the top navigation tabs.

Once in the Email Reporting tab, you can configure the following settings.

  • Toggle the switch to enable email reporting on your WordPress.
  • Choose reporting frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly).
  • Click Save Changes to apply the updated settings.

Accessing Email Health Reports:

Once enabled, your email health reports will be generated based on the selected timeframe. You will receive a detailed email containing the following information.

  • Total Sent Emails.
  • Successfully Sent Emails.
  • Failed Emails.
  • Total Viewed Emails.

Additionally, you will find the top email logs with their details in the email report.

Accessing Email Delivery Statistics:

  • Navigate to the Reports section of the Post SMTP plugin from the left sub-menu.

Email Delivery Graph:

This graph shows how your email delivery has changed and how many emails have been successfully or unsuccessfully sent. 

Email Open Ratio Graph:

Explore the Email Open Ratio Line Graph, which allows you to track the ratio of opened emails over the selected timeframe

You can filter both graphs for a specific duration, allowing you to analyze email delivery and open ratios more granularly.
