    Hi,

I’ve set up the Office 365 API as per instructions. When granting access, I sign in, allow access, and then it diverts me back to the wp-admin homepage with an error message:
    ERROR getting tokens: invlaid_client

Any ideas how to fix this?

I’ve tried a test email to check, and it confirms that no access token has been provided

    Hi Jessica,

Have you assigned the necessary API permissions to your Azure app?

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

I’m experiencing the same problem. I tried to check the API permissions, but I cannot find which one I should assign.

Same here. What kind of permissions apart from the default ones? I get, in Azure, under “API Permissions”, this: “Microsoft Graph”, “User.Read”, Type: Delegated, Admin consent required: No. Need help for sending e-mail with an @hotmail.com account. Thanks 🙂

    Hello,

    Recommended API permissions are:

    Mail.Send.Shared (Delegated)
    Mail.Send (Application)

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hello Tim,

Ive tried all the above recommendations but still getting “ERROR getting tokens: invalid_client”

Does the Azure login have to be the same as the email being used for sending messages? I am logged in on my office account but using a client email for sending SMTP.

    Thanks!

    Hi Tim,

    I have the same problem.

I set everything according to the tutorial, I even set the API permissions you suggested, but still no luck. When I click on ‘Grant Office 365 Permission’ and get redirected back to the site I get: ‘ERROR getting tokens: invalid_client’.

    What do I do wrong?

Thank you for your help in advance!

    David

    Hello people.

My solution ended up me using the login and password option and not the API. I know if you create an API, it has to be from the same email account you are using for the SMTP.

This may not help but hopefully it does.

    Thanks

    David
