Postmark with Post SMTP

A Postmark is a crucial part of the postal services industry because it is a practical tool and a historical artifact. 

A Postmark has a narrative function in addition to its practical use. It frequently contains the name of the post office that handled the mail, provides a glimpse into the past, and provides historians and collectors with an invaluable window into the evolution of postal systems and communication methods.

Setting up the Postmark Account: – 

If you are using Postmark for the first time. Go to Postmark, click on Start Free Trial, and
If you are an existing user, click log in to the Postmark.

Here, you will get the required fields titled Full name, Work Email, Username, and Password.

Fill in the required fields and click the check box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Click on Let’s Get Started.

A confirmation email has been sent to the registered Work email. 

Open a new tab and go to your Email Address inbox. You will see an email from Postmark for Conforming Sender Signature

Click on that button to be redirected to Postmark in a new window.

You will see a Congratulation message on your screen. You will also see a button named Back to Postmark click on it.

Installing and Activating the Post SMTP Plugin: –

Before getting started, you’ll need to install the Post SMTP plugin.

Let us cover all the steps to set up Postmark with Post SMTP.

Go to the Post SMTP dashboard and click on Start the wizard.

Mailer: – 

A window will pop up containing different Mailers services

Select Postmark from here.

For the From Address, there are two required fields.

a.     From Email (You must use the same email address you used to log in to your Postmark account.)

b.     From Name.

The “Prevent plugins and themes for changing this” toggle button will be under the From Email and Name fields. Check both of them enabled.

You must enter the API Key to connect your selected mailer with Post SMTP. 

Click on API Key to redirect to the Postmark’s API Key screen.

Creating an API Tokens: –

You will be redirected to the dashboard of the Postmark. 

Go to the API Tokens, copy the Server API tokens, and 

Return to the window where you left the Post SMTP setup wizard open.

Paste the API tokens in the required field in the setup wizard.

Press Save and Continue.

Sending a Test Email: –

A screen will appear with the field Recipient Email Address. This step will allow you to send an email address for testing. 

Enter the Recipient email address and click Send Test Email

Click on the Finish button.

You can view the log section by clicking the “View logs section” buttons or skip to the dashboard by clicking Skip to dashboard.

That’s it! Now, you can configure Post SMTP with SparkPost mailer on your WordPress site.
