Zoho with Post SMTP

The well-known cloud-based business software and services provider Zoho Corporation, offers Zoho Mail, a leading email hosting and collaboration solution. Additionally, it provides seamless integration with productivity tools and personalized domain-based email addresses.

Setting up the Zoho Account: –

Go to Zoho Mail in a new window or tab. Select whether you want to select Business Email or Personal Email. After that, enter the Name, Email/Phone, and Password, and click on the checkbox to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 

Click on Sign Up for Free. 

If you are an existing user, you can sign in using Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.   

You will receive OTP on your mobile number and click the Verify button.

After verifying, you will be directed to the inbox of Zoho Mail.

Installing and Activating the Post SMTP Plugin: –

Before getting started, you’ll need to install the Post SMTP plugin.

Let us cover all the steps to set up Zoho with Post SMTP.

Go to the Post SMTP dashboard and click on Start the wizard.

Mailer: –

A window will pop up containing different Mailers services. Select Zoho Mail from here.

For the From Address, there are two required fields.

  1. From Email (You must use the same email address you used to log in to your Zoho account.)
  2. From Name.

The “Prevent plugins and themes for changing this” toggle button will be under the From Email and Name fields. Check both of them enabled.

Now, you have to select the Region. Under the Region title, you will see Client ID and Client Secret. For that, we need the Client ID and Client Secret

In the next step, we will learn “How to create a Client ID and Client Secret.”

Creating Client ID and Client Secret: –

To create a Client ID and Client Secret, Click on Zoho Mail to create an account, or

if you have already logged in to Zoho Mail, click on Zoho API Credentials.

Zoho API Console: –

Click on Zoho API Credentials to redirect to the Zoho API Console page. Click on Get Started.

Choosing a Client Type: –

Here, you have to choose a Client Type. Select Server-Based Application and click on Create Now.

Creating a New Client: –

You must enter the Client Name, Homepage URL, and Authorized Redirect URLs. Enter the Client Name and Homepage URL.

Getting the Authorized Redirect URLs:

 Go to the tab or window where the Post SMTP setup wizard is open. 

You will see the Redirect URL copy that.

Return to the window where the Zoho Mail is open, and paste the Redirect URL in the required field. Click create. 

Getting the Client Secret: –

You will get the Client ID and Client Secret.

Copy that, return to the window where the Post SMTP setup wizard is open, and paste the Client ID and Client Secret in the required fields. 

We have to allow Post SMTP to send emails using Zoho Mail. 

For authorization, click on Connect to Zoho.

A new window will open, asking permission to allow Post SMTP to access data in your Zoho account.

Click on Accept, and After the successful authentication, you will see the The OAuth 2.0 authorization was successful. Ready to send e-mail message. Click on the Save and Continue button present at the end of the right side to proceed.

Sending a Test Email: –

A screen will appear with the field Recipient Email Address. This step will allow you to send an email address for testing. 

Enter the Recipient Email Address and click Send Test Email

Click on the Finish button.

You can view the log section by clicking on the “View logs section” buttons or skip to the dashboard by clicking on Skip to the dashboard.

That’s it! Now, you can configure Post SMTP with Zoho mailer on your WordPress site.
